Players Circle Theater

  • Players Circle Theater is preparing a robust seventh season, which kicks off next month. We’ll get a preview of the season ahead in a conversation with Players Circle Theater co-founder and Artistic Director Bob Cacioppo.
  • Players Circle Theater is mounting a staged reading-style production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s iconic musical “Oklahoma!” featuring the company’s largest ensemble ever assembled. “Oklahoma!” is widely credited with ushering in the Golden Age of American musical theater. Ahead of the opening night performance, we explore this production and the musical’s enduring impact on the musical theater genre.
  • Actor, musician, and playwright Randy Noojin brings his one-man biographical and musical production “Seeger: The Music of Pete Seeger,” to Players Circle Theater for a limited performance run July 18-20. Noojin joins us to talk about this heartfelt tribute to the legendary folk singer and activist and perform live in studio.
  • Players Circle Theater is mounting a production of the hilarious and irreverent play “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)” through July 13. The two-act play has three actors covering all of Shakespeare’s 37 plays in just 97 minutes. We take a deeper diver into the show in a conversation with director Ted Wioncek III, and actors AJ Mendini and Steven Kennedy.
  • Players Circle Theater is mounting the Southwest Florida regional premiere production of “Vanities: The Musical.” Adapted from Jack Heifner’s stage play, it’s a coming-of-age story exploring the joys and challenges of long-term friendships through the lives of three women as they navigate high school, college, and into adulthood, where they’ve grown into very different people. We’ll explore the show in a conversation with director Ted Wioncek, and actors Elizabeth D’Aiuto, Natalie Brouwer, and Kimberly Suskind.
  • Players Circle Theater is mounting a production of the psychological thriller, “The Business of Murder” April 15 – May 11. We explore the play in a conversation with playwright Richard Harris, the show’s director Bill Taylor, and Players Circle Theater cofounder and Artistic Director Bob Cacioppo.
