This week, one show opens, two close, eight continue their runs and limited engagements include 'Monsters Inc. JR' and "The Laramie Project," at Southwest Florida equity and community theaters.

Two factors distinguish the TheatreZone production. First, Director Mark Danni has brought together New York–based performers and Florida talent in an ensemble of seasoned and emerging artists that features 11-year-old Fort Lauderdale actor Carter Sass in the role of Oliver. Second, the show marks the return to the stage of Naples Music Director and Conductor Charles Fornara for the first time in ten years.

An Olivier Award-winning comedy, “The Play That Goes Wrong” features an unconscious leading lady, a corpse who can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything, including their lines. It's also one of four shows opening in area theaters this week. Ten others close and 11 continue their runs this week as well.

“Moonlight and Magnolias” headlines the five shows opening this week at Southwest Florida community and equity theaters. Three others close and 17 continue their runs as well.
