Road work on I-75 will require nighttime lane closures.

A multi-count lawsuit has been filed in a case involving the February 2024 crash of a private passenger jet along I-75 in Naples that killed the pilot and co-pilot.Two passengers and a flight attendant escaped the crash.

Motorists can expect lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours on northbound and southbound I-75 over the Peace River Bridge.Work will be conducted from 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Sunday, April 6 through Friday, April 11.

A proposal to increase maximum speeds on Florida highways is moving forward in both legislative chambers, with the House adding it Tuesday to a wide-ranging transportation bill.

Governor DeSantis mentioned the project in a social media posting.

Upon opening on Sunday, July 14, drivers will be traveling in the final diverging diamond interchange pattern on Colonial Boulevard at I-75 with signage and pavement markings guiding motorists through the interchange.

The Florida Department of Transportation will make final configurations on the diverging diamond interchange at I-75 and State Road 72/Clark Road on June 1 in anticipation of it opening to traffic on June 2.The final implementation of the interchange requires closing all interchange ramps and Clark Road between Catamaran Drive and Queensbury Boulevard to motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists, from 7 p.m. Saturday, June 1 to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 2.

A travel advisory from the Florida Highway Patrol shortly before 6 p.m. Monday alerted drivers that Interstate 75 had been closed down temporarily in both directions due to a brush fire.
