The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is boosting safety and convenience along I-75 with upcoming installations. A pre-construction information session covering new interchange construction at I-75 at Toledo Blade Boulevard and Sumter Boulevard in Sarasota County will be held on Tuesday, Jan 6.

Plans to narrow the lanes of State Road 70 were shot down by county commissioners

A public hearing for the Old 41 Project Development and Environment Study from U.S. 41 to Bonita Beach Road in Lee and Collier Counties will be held on November 20.

Road work on I-75 will require nighttime lane closures around Exit 111/Immokalee Road in Collier County from Oct. 20-23.

After months of navigating single-lane traffic, motorists traveling to and from Pine Island again can use two lanes on the Little Pine Island Bridge.The use of the two-lanes marking a major milestone in the recovery and reconstruction efforts following extensive damage caused by Hurricane Ian in 2022. This change is expected to reduce congestion; however, drivers should still anticipate possible delays.

Motorists can expect lane closures during nighttime/overnight hours on northbound and southbound I-75 over the Peace River Bridge.Work will be conducted from 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Sunday, April 6 through Friday, April 11.

Online and in-person public hearings will be held Jan. 28 by the Florida Department of Transportation for the Burnt Store Road Project Development and Environment Study.The area to be affected runs from Van Buren Parkway in Lee County to the Charlotte County Line.
