Amanda Whittamore
Multimedia JournalistAmanda Whittamore is an award-winning multimedia journalist at WGCU. She is a videographer and editor for WGCU's Southwest Florida In Focus TV news show and does still photography for WGCU.org. Amanda worked for 21 years at The News-Press and is a longtime resident of Lee County. After growing up in North Carolina and graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she moved to Florida to work as a photojournalist at a newspaper in central Florida fro two years. She is a gymnast and loves yoga, hiking, traveling and spending time with her two sons and husband.
