In an election, Feb. 3, Naples voters elected a former city councilmember and two newcomers to the Naples City Council from a pool of eight candidates. Ted Blankenship, John Krol, and Scott Schultz are set to be sworn in on Feb. 18.

Ahead of the Feb. 3, 2026, Naples City Council election, the League of Women Voters of Collier Council organized a candidate forum for all eight candidates seeking three open seats on the council. We’ll hear a condensed broadcast of the forum moderated by Naples Daily News Executive Editor Wendy Fullerton Powell and WGCU’s John Davis.

City of Naples voters will have eight candidates to choose from in the February 3, 2026, election. Three city council seats are at stake in the election.

The Collier County Supervisor of Elections office will conduct a machine recount followed by a manual recount of ballots from the Naples mayoral race and a city council race that were too close to call following Tuesday’s elections.

The forum included all three candidates: incumbent Mayor Teresa Heitmann, current Naples City Councilman Ted Blankenship, and former councilman Gary Price. The forum was moderated by WGCU’s John Davis and Naples Daily News Executive Editor Wendy Fullerton Powell, and organized by the League of Women Voters of Collier County and the Collier Forum Coalition.
