During January, three exhibitions open, five close and 25 others continue their runs including 'Railroads at Work' at the Naples Depot Museum.

It hides in plain sight in Sarasota, but within the confines of the Marietta Museum of Art and Whimsy, lies a treasure trove of unique and quirky art.

During the month of December, three exhibitions open, two close and 26 others continue their runs.

Throughout the year, Marietta Museum of Art & Whimsy founder and namesake Marietta Lee searches near and far for art. This season, she acquired more than 20 works by the Florida Highwaymen and their mentor A.E. Backus, among other “finds.” Now that the museum is closed for the summer, it’s time to decide how and where to exhibit the new additions.
