Two Charlotte County companies have officially been nominated for the inaugural Coolest Thing Made in Florida competition, a statewide celebration recognizing innovation and manufacturing excellence across the Sunshine State.

The Charlotte County contenders are:

  • Baby Barrier Pool Fence Company
  • SuperTrak

Hosted by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the competition kicks off its popular voting round from June 17 through July 1, 2025. Supporters from across Florida can vote once per product each day at CoolestThingMadeInFlorida.com. The 32 products receiving the most votes will move on to the bracket competition beginning July 15.

“This contest highlights the kind of ingenuity and impact that often starts right here in our local manufacturing facilities,” said Kay Tracy, director for Charlotte County Economic Development. “We’re proud to see Charlotte County businesses making waves across the state—and beyond.”

For businesses, residents, and fans eager to support the nominees, the Florida Chamber has provided a Social Media Toolkit to help spread the word.
