As Floridians Flee Irma, Some Plan To Ride Out The Storm On Key West

Florida Keys residents are beginning to make the 113-mile journey on the Overseas Highway to the mainland, ahead of Hurricane Irma.

An active wildfire east of Naples and south of Interstate 75 in the Picayune Strand State Forest burned 225 acres and was 30 percent contained as of 5 p.m. Monday. Earlier voluntary evacuations have been rescinded.
