Record Heat Puts Record Demand On Electric Utilities

There’s been record-breaking heat across much of the U.S. this week. And in the Southwest, all that heat means people are blasting their air conditioners day and night, creating record demand for electricity.

Here & Now‘s Peter O’Dowd checks in with Bobby Olsen, director of supply trading and fuels at Salt River Project, one of the biggest utilities in Arizona.
