As our reliance on solar and wind energy grows, so does the challenge of reliability. One part of the solution might be energy storage. Vermont’s largest utility, Green Mountain Power, is piloting the first project in the country to sell Tesla’s home energy storage batteries to consumers. The utility also will draw on the batteries as a source of power. Kathleen Masterson from Here & Now contributor Vermont Public Radio reports.
