Rosina Food Products of New York is recalling approximately 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen meatball products that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Sunday. The affected products have a 15-month shelf-life and were shipped to Aldi supermarket locations nationwide.

Free bus rides have been offered to out of town grocers after Immokalee lost its only full-service grocery store in October.

Folks in Immokalee who depended on the community's only supermarket, Winn Dixie, are frustrated and concerned. The store closed about a week ago as part of Aldi's acquisition of Southeastern Grocers.
