Rare Blue Moon to Appear Tonight

We'll experience the rare, astronomical phenomenon of a blue moon tonight.

Mark Bennett, with the Miami Museum of Science Planetarium, explains, "The only reason it's called a blue moon is because it's the 2nd one of the month. It doesn't actually appear blue. It is a normal full moon. It has all the normal effects of a full moon."

There won't be another blue moon until 2015.
