Senate Passes Bill to Make Pulse Nightclub National Memorial

The Senate on Wednesday passed legislation that will officially make the site of Pulse nightclub a national memorial nearly five years after one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern American history.

The site of one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history will now forever be remembered as a national memorial site.

Lawmakers in Washington D.C. voted, Wednesday, to officially make the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando a museum memorial.

This Saturday, June 12, 2021, marks five years since the tragedy that took the lives of 49 people on a day that devastated and united the LGBTQ community.

The non-profit onePULSE Foundation was established by Pulse nightclub owner Barbara Poma. The foundation will be in charge of running the memorial and the museum.
