Classes Resume at UCF After Explosives Found on Campus

Classes have resumed at the University of Central Florida after the overnight suicide of a student.

Authorities say they found the student in his dorm room dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. They also found an assault weapon, handgun and improvised explosive devices there.

The dorm was evacuated. Some students slept at the university's sports arena, said Kathryn Wood, a junior.

"There's kids just like laid out over the UCF logo just trying to take naps with pillows and blankets and it reminded of scenes from that cruise ship incident of people just trying to find any place to sleep", said Wood.

Morning classes were cancelled. Authorities still have not identified the deceased student.
