Invasive species cause more harm in the Global South
Invasive species can wreak havoc on ecosystems. A new study in Science suggests low- and middle-income countries in the Global South experience greater harms.
Stephanie Hodgdon is renowned for her powerful vocals, multi-octave range and commanding stage presence. Her show, “She Will Rock You,” includes a mix of ‘50s-to-‘70s rock mainstays,’ 80s hair-band hits, and modern-day favorites. It visits the Music & Arts Community Center in Fort Myers on July 25.
Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe created its Young Artist Program to support, develop and showcase the talents of young, aspiring artists of color. On August 22, it will spotlight Charlotte Corporan, who has been a regular at the Troupe’s summer programs for several years.
Stevie Wonder wrote his first Motown hit at 13. Today, his catalog spans six decades. His repertoire covers a wide range of genres, but he has not really been associated with jazz – until now. On July 30, the Gulf Coast Jazz Collective will perform the music of Stevie Wonder - all jazzed up.
