Kansas City nun reflects on life spent caring for kids
Measles cases in Florida continue to rise but the rate of the spread has slowed significantly in the last month. According data from the Department of Health, as of March 21 there were 143 reported measles cases in 2026, with the majority still in Collier County. The week before, there were 139.
The stars and stripes will unfurl on a 250-foot flagpole in Cape Coral to celebrate the United States’ 250th birthday, while no flag will wave over Bonita Springs.
The Marco Island Historical Society is commemorating America250 with a large-format photography exhibition by Clyde Butcher. An opening reception takes place April 9th in tandem with a performance by the Marco Island Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Marco Island Historical Society Reenactors of an original play titled “Founding Mothers.”
