Most have never been exhibited before.

Baker Museum retrospective advances legacy of art deco painter Tamara de Lempicka

In 1901, the Bernheim-Jeune brothers were the preeminent dealers of impressionist art in Paris. They decided to organize a posthumous retrospective of an unknown post-impressionist artist. Vincent van Gogh’s sister-in-law, Jo, used that exhibition to popularize his art. A similar phenomenon is playing out with Tamara de Lempicka. Her paintings are being featured in a major retrospective at The Baker Museum in Naples.

Redesigning US 41/Six Mile Cypress likely not happening before the next 10 years

Drivers navigating the intersection of Six Mile Cypress Parkway and U.S. 41 will need to be patient for at least another decade before they see improvements to make their commutes easier. Design for improvements will take place between 2031 and 2035, according to the county’s Metropolitan Planning Organization priority list that was approved last month. Six Mile to the east of U.S. 41 is a state road; Gladiolus Drive to the west of U.S. 41 is a county road.

Florida was not the lightning capital of the U.S. in 2025, according to report by AEM. Researchers found Oklahoma led the country in lightning flash density.
