State Farm spokeswoman Michal Brower also urges customers to document any damage with photos or videos.

“If it’s safe to do so, go ahead and make some temporary repairs to help prevent any further damage to your home or property. If you have any minor roof repairs or any windows that you could cover over, that way, if we get any more rain bands, you won’t have any further damage to your property.”

Brower said it’s too early to estimate how many claims State Farm expects to process or to attach a price tag to Irma damages.
