The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is wrapping up its search of Orange Park High School.

Classes were canceled for the day after a bomb threat was emailed to school administrators around 6 this morning.

CCSO spokeswoman Mary Justino says once the campus has been cleared, teachers will be asked to do a quick check of their areas.

Justino said, “There will be an opportunity for teachers to go into their classrooms and to look around and see if they see anything that is unusual or out of place or in any way suspicious to them because obviously they’ll know if something is different. It’s their classroom.”

Justino says school administrators will decide later today whether classes will resume tomorrow.

In the meantime, Justino says, authorities will continue to look for the person responsible for the bomb threat.
