Subtropical Depression Seven Forms South of Bermuda

WUFT

The disturbance between Bermuda and the Leeward Islands has organized into the season's seventh depression, this one more of a hybrid system and designated "subtropical". TD Seven is expected to strengthen into a weak tropical storm over the weekend as it moves northwestward at 10 mph. By Sunday, the storm is likely to turn north and eventually north-east, moving farther away from the United States and the State of Florida. Another disturbance behind TD Seven, located 700 miles east of the Leeward Islands, also has a low chance of developing this weekend and will be watched closely. At the present time, there is no threat to the state from tropical cyclone activity in the next five days.
