Farmland and woods are disappearing, but some rural-focused businesses are finding ways to survive, even as more housing and business developments move inland across Southwest Florida.

The Alliance for the Arts and other local arts organizations, this week, launched the Arts & Economic Prosperity survey as part of a nationwide study by Americans for the Arts to quantify the direct and indirect economic impact of the arts on local communities.
