Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno says those who fail to comply with Florida’s stay-at-home order could face citation or arrest, depending on the situation. 

He said in a news conference Thursday, that he has been impressed by the public’s adherence to the voluntary stay-at-home suggestions in place up until now. According to executive order number 20-91 signed yesterday by Governor Ron DeSantis, at midnight tonight all persons are directed to stay home unless they are providing or conducting “essential services,” A list of which appears at the bottom of the executive order here. The order will last thirty days.
