Lois Scott was a 16-year-old senior at Yorktown High School in Arlington Virginia the day President John F. Kennedy was shot 50 years ago this Friday. Today she’s a retired dental hygienist who lives in south Fort Myers.

Scott and two of her girlfriends were appointed the honor of answering Jacqueline Kennedy’s condolence letters for her. In partnership with the Fort Myers News-Press, we bring you Lois Scott’s memories of that time.
