Cape Café Dessert Theatre has announced that playwright Joe Simonelli will assume the lead and Susan Crater is joining the cast in the role of Madelaine for the final four performances of “Men Are Dogs” in June. Set in a women’s therapy group, “Men Are Dogs” is Simonelli’s most popular comedy.

MORE INFORMATION:
The comedy centers on Cecelia, a therapist who runs a support group for single and divorced women. Along with her cadre of zany patients, Cecilia must deal with her overbearing mother, who offers her daughter a constant stream of unwelcome relationship advice. When a substitute package delivery man enters the picture, Cecilia must decide whether she’s able to follow her own advice.
The play is directed by playwright Joe Simonelli and features Cape Cafe regulars Chris Durso, Sherri Heppler, Kristen Wilson, Iris Polanco, Eileen Haas-Linde, Becky Nilson and, now, Joe Simonelli and Susan Crater.
