States increase security following high-profile assassinations

Whether it’s allowing campaign funds to be spent on security, stepping up safety at capitols or paying for home security systems, states are augmenting ways to protect lawmakers after high-profile assassinations.

If asked “What plant best symbolizes the winter season?”, most people might say “Christmas trees”, but a fair number might instead suggest holly. Several species of holly are native to North America.
