Sarasota County's new COVID-19 vaccine appointment registration system is set to launch at noon on Wednesday, Jan 20.

The web address will be made available through the Department of Health in Sarasota County's website: sarasota.floridahealth.gov and through the county's website: scgov.net.

To register by phone, call 941-861-8297.

Officials in Sarasota plan to administer 3,300 vaccine doses on Thursday, Jan. 21 and Friday, Jan. 22 at a drive-thru clinic at Twin Lakes Parks at 6700 Clark Road in Sarasota.

But earning this designation has brought a disconcerting trend to both owners’ attention that they said passionate craft beer connoisseurs cannot ignore.
  • A wildfire of undetermined origin was burning in 98 acres alongside northbound Interstate 75 by mile marker 151 Saturday with smoke and flames visible from the freeway. The fire was reported at 85 percent contained.
