The Detroit auto industry is not happy with Buick’s proposed plan to move production of several vehicles to China.

The majority of Buicks are already produced and sold in China, but this comes at a time when parent company, General Motors, is beginning talks with the United Auto Workers union.

GM is not the only American car company making its product in China. Ford is also shifting more plants to China. What does this mean for America’s auto industry, especially at a time when China’s financial markets aren’t so hot?
