Our world can feel like a very different place under the cover of night. And away from the light pollution at the rural Alva homestead of News-Press storyteller Amy Bennett Williams, night time can be particularly dark. Although she prefers to navigate her way unaided by a flashlight, she did take one with her on a recent twilight visit to the pasture. Besides helping guide her path, the light also helped illuminate some previously unseen critters as she tells us in this week’s essay.
