The Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida is the largest hunger-relief network in Southwest Florida, serving Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties. It distributes donated food and other grocery products to more than 150 partner agencies and programs that provide direct services to those in need, like food pantries, mobile pantries, and senior programs. During normal times it used to provide food for about 110,000 individuals every month. Right now they are serving more than a quarter million people a month, and have provided 25,073,464 meals since the pandemic began. We get an update on how they're handling the huge increase in demand from president and CEO Richard LeBer.
