Golisano Children’s Hospital is rolling to different spots in Southwest Florida next week. The hospital is offering a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic for children 5 and older. It will be offering first and second doses.
The Mobile Pediatric Vaccination Clinic will be making three stops this week in Immokalee and Cape Coral to distribute Pfizer vaccines at no cost.
The clinic will visit the following locations next week:
- Monday, Dec. 20, 2-6 p.m., Guadalupe Center – Monaghan Campus, 1170 Harvest Drive, Immokalee
- Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2-5 p.m., LPG Pediatrics Cape Coral – 650 Del Prado Blvd. Suite 107, Cape Coral
- Thursday, Dec. 23, 2-5 p.m., Mackoul Pediatrics – 206 SE 16th Place, Cape Coral
The vaccination clinic is walk-up only.
Anyone who receives a first dose at the location may have to attend another site for their second dose. Parents or guardians must accompany the child for vaccination.
The Mobile Vaccination Clinic is open to the general public. It is not necessary to be an established Lee Physician Group patient.
The mobile clinic is staffed with a pediatric registered nurse to administer the vaccine. A special Pain Ease spray is on-hand to put on the injection site to alleviate any discomfort or fear of needles that kids sometimes have. The mobile vaccination unit has a pharmacist, EMT or paramedic, and customer service team to assist in the process.
