Lawyers for George Zimmerman - the former neighborhood watch volunteer charged with murdering teenager Trayvon Martin - say he'll appear Tuesday at a court hearing in Sanford. State prosecutors want to make sure he understands the ramifications of waiving his right to immunity under "stand your ground."

Attorney Mark O'Mara had said he would invoke "stand your ground" in Zimmerman's defense. O'Mara later said he might bring it up at trial, or Zimmerman might waive immunity altogether.An immunity hearing was scheduled. But O'Mara said he didn't need it, and it was cancelled. He hasn't filed any motions involving immunity under "stand your ground."

State prosecutors filed a motion asking the court to make sure Zimmerman understands that if he waives immunity under "stand your ground," he can't invoke it later, especially after his trial begins.

Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. His trial is scheduled for June.
