My guest today is a relatively new voice on the southwest Florida music scene, but one that’s pretty much taken it by storm. Born and raised in a small town called Lititz, Pennsylvania, about and hour and a half outside of Philadelphia, Kate has a bachelor's degree in theatre arts from Kutztown University, which is in a tiny farming town about an hour down the road. She went on to live in Philly for a few years after graduating, working in theatres, before moving to Florida in 2015. She started pursuing a career in music full time in the summer of 2017 and released her first EP called Ready For Me in April of this year...and she’s been writing new tunes and hopes to be back in the studio before the end of the year. I met Kate recently when she performed on Gulf Coast Live, the making of which is my day job.
