Florida’s Democratic lawmakers led a voting rights rally outside the Florida Capitol today [Thursday]. They railed against voting restrictions enacted last year and those under consideration in the legislature now. As Valerie Crowder reports, they urged voters opposed to these efforts to make their voices heard at the ballot box in November.

Conservationists across the state celebrated on Thursday as the Florida Senate backtracked dramatically from its earlier stand to change how water is allocated and money is spent to clean up the quality of water flowing from Lake Okeechobee. Steve Bousquet is at the state Capitol for the latest developments.

Florida students may soon be required to earn a half credit in personal finance and money management. Gina Jordan has more about legislation getting bipartisan support.
