A PonteVedra-basedproperty rental company has made another acquisition, expanding its presence in Florida.
Vacation Rental Pros has purchased Five Star Vacation Rentals. That Orlando company manages about 60 properties, including several near the Walt Disney World Resort.
The acquisition give the local company more exposure to the South American market, which is continuing to grow. It also allows Vacation Rental Pros to offer packages, such as a few days at a beachside house and a few days at a property near the theme parks.
The company said it is looking at other expansion opportunities in Tampa and St. Petersburg as well as the Florida Keys and Southwest Florida.
In response to the acquisitions, Vacation Rental Pros, which manages about 1,000 properties, is in the midst of expanding its First Coast office.
