Pilgrimage to 'The Thing' in the Arizona Desert

"The Thing" -- a mummified corpse, with a dusty sombrero preserving its modestry -- displayed in a glass-topped coffin. But is it real?

Reporter Rene Gutel of member station KJZZ in Phoenix, Ariz., follows a series of mysterious signs off Arizona's Interstate 10 guiding drivers to see "The Thing."
