Love Your Rebellion Presents Fort Myers Zine Fest
After more than a year of challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Southwest Florida-based nonprofit, Love Your Rebellion, which works to empower marginalized groups through the arts, is planning to begin hosting in-person events again.Love Your Rebellion will be holding Fort Myers Zine Fest at Neenie’s House at 481 Marsh Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33905 on Friday, April 23 from 6 to 10 p.m.The mostly outdoor event will feature works available for purchase from artists, artisans, zine makers, fashion designers as well as food vendors. The event will also feature live music and a dance performance-style fashion show.

'Java the Hutts' robotics team heads to World Championship
A local FTC robotics team called Java the Hutts is heading to Houston next week to compete in the FIRST World Championship. Java the Hutts has been a team for eight years, with students from across Southwest Florida moving through program as some age out. This is the team’s third qualification to Worlds — they brought home the World Champion title once before in 2022. We talk with three of the Java the Hutt team members to learn about their team, the FIRST competitions, and how engaging with robotics is helping them prepare for the world ahead.
