A weak wave of low pressure in the upper atmosphere will pull deeper moisture into the state by Wednesday and Thursday, possibly producing some heavier rain and thunderstorms for central and south Florida. Most of these will occur during those typical afternoon and evening hours. Elsewhere in the tropics, no storm formation is expected over the next 5 to 10 days as multiple African dust storms have sent dry Saharan air across the Atlantic, which will prevent thunderstorms from developing or organizing.
