On March 10 at noon, TV stations in Southwest Florida are changing frequencies (the airspace they use to transmit into your home) to make room for more wireless services. When these changes take place, viewers who rely on free “over the air” TV will need to rescan their TV sets to keep watching the channels.
You don’t need any special equipment to do this. If you subscribe to a cable or satellite provider, you don’t need to do anything. The provider will take care of it.
