Our Economy… Where Do We Go From Here?



WGCU Public Media’s new initiative, Your Voice, examines issues affecting Southwest Florida. On a quarterly basis, the project will probe a chosen topic from multiple perspectives — combining television, radio and articles in Expressions. Your Voice is a forum for discussion and an outlet for practical ways listeners and viewers can get involved.



This month, WGCU examines Southwest Florida’s hard-hit economy by talking with local experts about what’s being done to get people working again in a region beset by double-digit unemployment rates, where federal stimulus funds are being spent to bolster the region’s workforce, and what the future economy will look like.
