From the 1800s, when the Seminole Indians began developing relationships with European pioneers migrating inland, through the cultural and economic changes brought on by World War II to the discovery of oil and the expansion of vegetable farming, this two-part program explores the history and progress of Immokalee. As the heart of agriculture in Southwest Florida, Immokalee has flourished as a culturally and economically diverse community.
