“Kissimmee Basin – the Northern Everglades” - Travel with filmmaker Elam Stoltzfus and fine-art photographer Clyde Butcher along the Kissimmee River and surrounding regions. Their documentary film covers best practice models, protecting water resources and preservation of the natural landscapes as well as bridging the gap between ecosystem services and new political initiatives.
Florida photographer and field biologist Mac Stone is working with the National Audubon Society on a Disney grant to study roseate spoonbills as ecological indicators for the health of the Everglades. Using videos and still images he’s putting together an interactive website about Florida Bay and the southern Everglades. His last project with Burrowing Owls was a hit on Science Friday.
