He’s a Visiting Professor of Economics, at Johns Hopkins University. His earlier books include Russia's Virtual Economy and The Siberian Curse.

Leonard Spector is the Deputy Director of the Monterey Institute’s Center for Non-pro-liferation Studies and he’ll discuss the risk of the spread of nuclear weapons. Spector was formerly at the U. S. Department of Energy where he served as an assistant Deputy Administrator of Arms Control and Non-pro-liferation at the National Nuclear Security Administration.

Dr. Bates Gill is the Director of the Stockholm International Peace Institute and he previously held the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. A specialist in East Asian foreign policy and politics, Dr. Gill focuses primarily on China's domestic transformation, China's regional diplomacy, and US-China relations.
