Myanmar Relief

The first in a wave of United Nations relief ‘planes arrived in Myanmar yesterday following last Saturday’s cyclone. Meanwhile in Fort Myers, a Christian based missionary group is doing what it can on the ground and from Southwest Florida to help the victims. WGCU’s Matthew Kay reports

Red Tide Study

Researchers from Mote Marine Laboratory were at Siesta Key beach in Sarasota this weekend as part of their ongoing study into the effects of Red Tide on asthmatics.

Oliver North in Southwest Florida

Former Marine, Oliver North was in Fort Myers Thursday leading the 25th annual community prayer breakfast. The breakfast, which marked the National day of Prayer, also coincided with the release of North’s twelfth book. WGCU’s Matthew Kay was there and has this report.
