Hank Fishkind on Mortgage Practices
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum and his counterparts in other states are calling for an investigation into the mortgage practices of the nation’s major home mortgage lenders. Meanwhile, the states are looking into numerous allegations of shoddy paperwork and other questionable practices by some lenders. Tom Parkinson at WMFE in Orlando asked economic analyst Hank Fishkind if the foreclosure crisis is worse here in Florida than in other states…

Amendment 4
This November, voters in Florida will weigh in on six constitutional amendments. As part of our Your Voice project “Florida’s Changing Constitution”… today we look at Amendment 4.
This "Hometown Democracy" amendment would give citizens a direct vote on development projects in their communities. Supporters say it would put the brakes on reckless development. Health Care Legislation in Florida
Now that Congress has passed the new healthcare overhaul legislation economic analyst Hank Fishkind discusses its impact to Floridians with Tom Parkinson from WMFE in Orlando. By some estimates there are as many as 30 million Americans without health insurance and Fishkind says many of them are Floridians. He says right now that number is about 4 million, but it will continue to rise…
