Naturalization Ceremony Held in Southwest Florida
Becoming an American citizen is the Holy Grail for many immigrants who come to the United States. And for a hundred of them their quest came to an end in the city of Naples on Monday. Immigration Enforcement Training - Feature.
More than two dozen Collier County Sheriff’s Deputies are going back to the classroom for new training. It’s part of a first of its kind relationship between a Sheriff’s office in Florida and the federal government to try to curb illegal immigration. As WGCU’s Luis Hernandez reports nationally, the program has identified more than 22,000 illegal aliens for possible deportation over the last two years.
