Chinese Drywall - Tax Reductions

More
than a thousand Lee County homeowners have been sent letters notifying
them whether they’ll get a 50-percent reduction in their home’s market
value because of Chinese Drywall.  WGCU’s Mike Kiniry reports.

Home Sales

Realtors
say the decline in property values in Lee County has about reached the
bottom. Luxury homes are still selling, but the prices have come way
down.  WGCU’s Valerie Alker reports.

Foreclosure Prevention Grant

Florida
Attorney General Bill McCollum’s office announced four million dollars
in grant funding recently for organizations that provide legal
assistance to Floridians facing foreclosure.  WGCU’s John Davis has
more.

Foreclosure Task Force

The
Lee County Foreclosure Task Force has about all the business it can
handle these days. More than forty people turned out for this
month’s workshop – which provides free one on one advice from attorneys
on how to best weather the foreclosure process. WGCU’s Valerie Alker

Chinese Drywall

Democratic

2nd Quarter Housing Numbers

The
number of existing homes sold in Florida continued to rise during the
second quarter of 2009 compared to the year before…but once again the
price of those homes continued to decline.  WGCU’s Mike Kiniry reports.

Sustainable Homes

Three
Florida Gulf Coast University students have designed, what many say is,
the first sustainable affordable housing community in Southwest
Florida. The eleven homes in the Renaissance Community of Bonita
Springs show that saving the environment and saving money go
