Free CPR & AED Classes
Roughly 300-thousand people die in the U-S every year from sudden cardiac arrest according to the American Red Cross. If CPR is applied within the first ten minutes the chances of survival increase to almost 50-percent. As part of CPR and AED awareness week in June the Urgent Care Center of Southwest Florida is trying to get more people certified in the proper use of both. So it’s offering free classes. WGCU’s Luis Hernandez reports.
