Swine Flu Update

Lee
health officials confirmed the county’s third swine flu death
Wednesday, while officials with the Centers for Disease Control
launched a campaign to educate employers on how to prepare for H1N1

groups such as African Americans and Hispanics make up more than half
the people on the national organ transplant waiting list.  Yet, the
same minority groups make up a small percentage of organ donors.

Two Die from Swine Flu in Miami-Dade

Two Sarasota County men died from swine flu last week and Miami-Dade health officials confirmed another swine flu death Monday bringing the state total to 17 deaths so far.  Health officials warn the deaths may not be the last as the virus continues to spread.  WGCU’s John Davis reports.

three boys seen playing with a rabid bat at the Fort Myers Beach pier
