organizations are experiencing a surge in demand for services while
donations are down.  The Salvation Army of Collier County is no

Eight
thousand pounds of Girl Scout Cookies were delivered to military
personnel serving at Guantanamo Bay on Tuesday.  It’s called operation
“Mints for the Military”.  WGCU’s Valerie Alker reports.

The
Salvation Army of Collier County has seen a 125 percent increase in the
number of people turning to them for help to keep food on the table. 
The increase has left the organization in desperate need of donations.
